This July 4th gives a whole new meaning to Independence, doesn't it? While we won't soon forget the losses and struggles of the past year-plus, the joys of gathering and celebrating together pull us forward into a new and better time. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
Here at the Marines' Memorial, we are grateful every day for the generations of men and women who have devoted themselves to protecting the freedoms we enjoy. Our Living Memorial, Club events, and programs for veteran and active service members are all manifestations of that gratitude.

On 8 September 2021, Marines' Memorial Board Member LtCol Jeffrey Tice, USAF (Ret.) will present a talk at the Club entitled "A Guest of Saddam: 46 Days as a Prisoner of War".
LtCol Tice's talk was originally scheduled for 14 September 2020 and we are delighted to have it back on the calendar. Please join us!

THE 246TH MARINE CORPS BIRTHDAY BALL IS A GO!!
Please join us on Friday 5 November 2021 for the grandest event of the year. We know that the spirit of the Corps and the drive to celebrate will be stronger than ever after our time apart.
Our Guest of Honor will be the 19th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, SgtMaj Troy E. Black, USMC.
Another round of care packages goes out this month to our currently serving in remote areas.
